7-Day Kilimanjaro Climb – Marangu Route

The Marangu Route, often dubbed the “Coca Cola Route,” is one of Kilimanjaro’s most popular and accessible paths. This route is favored for its unique feature of hut accommodations, offering a communal, cozy mountain experience. While it can be completed in 5 days, we recommend the 6-day option (plus arrival night) to allow for better acclimatization, increasing your chance of reaching Uhuru Peak successfully. This route is scenic and relatively gentle, though the summit day is still very challenging. It uses the same trail for both ascent and descent.

Best time to visit: July to October | January to early March

Along the way, we pass the last water point at 4,130m. Upon arrival at Kibo Hut, a stone structure near the foot of the summit path, you’ll rest and prepare for the summit attempt.
