After breakfast, your guide will pick you up in Arusha and transfer you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Known as the “Garden of Eden,” the crater is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife including elephants, buffalo, lions, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Visit Lake Magadi, a soda lake often graced by flocks of flamingos and other water birds.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Ndutu, part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. This region is a vital calving ground for wildebeest between December and March, and by May, many herds are still spread across the plains. Enjoy lunch at your lodge or camp before heading out for an afternoon game drive across woodlands, soda lakes, and short-grass plains. Ndutu is also known for excellent predator sightings, including cheetahs, lions, and hyenas.

Spend a full day exploring the Ndutu region, where wildlife concentrations remain high as the migration prepares to move north. Spot wildebeest calves still trailing their mothers and predators taking advantage of the season’s final calving weeks. You’ll cover varied terrain, including swampy areas, acacia forests, and wide-open plains. The abundance of life during this season makes for an unforgettable day in the bush.

After breakfast, journey to the central Serengeti’s Seronera region. This area is one of the richest ecosystems in the park, where the Seronera River provides a year-round water source. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy a game drive in the afternoon, with opportunities to spot lions, leopards, elephants, and vast plains game. The movement of the wildebeest through this area marks the beginning of their journey toward the western corridor.

Today is dedicated to exploring the central Serengeti. After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive, following migration paths and seeking out the area’s abundant wildlife. If you wish, begin the day with an optional hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti’s rolling plains (available at extra cost). The Seronera region is a wildlife haven all year round and an excellent place for big cat sightings.

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive en route to Seronera Airstrip. Catch your scheduled flight back to Arusha Airport. Upon arrival, you'll be met and transferred to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. Depending on your departure time, lunch can be arranged in Arusha before concluding your safari adventure.
