Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast in Arusha, depart with a packed lunch for a 2-hour drive (130 km) to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. This park is famous for its majestic baobab trees, rolling savannahs, and the Tarangire River, which attracts large numbers of wildlife. Known for having one of the highest concentrations of elephants in Africa, Tarangire also hosts lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and over 500 bird species. The park’s landscape, with its acacia-dotted hills and golden grasslands, offers classic African scenery. After a thrilling day of wildlife viewing, head to Sunbrite Campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart with a packed lunch for Serengeti National Park, driving through scenic landscapes before entering the endless golden plains of this world-renowned reserve. Spanning 14,763 sq. km, Serengeti is home to one of the most complex and least disturbed ecosystems on Earth, offering exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities.

The park is known for its greatest wildlife spectacle, the Great Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move in search of fresh grazing lands. Depending on the season, you may witness the dramatic river crossings or the calving season in the southern plains. Serengeti is also one of the best places to see predators in action, with large populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals roaming the plains.

Enjoy an en-route game drive, spotting elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and a variety of antelope species. Arrive at your campsite in Seronera, the heart of the Serengeti, in time for dinner and overnight under the African sky.

Day 3: Full-Day Serengeti Safari – Transfer to Ngorongoro

Wake up early for a pre-dawn game drive, the best time to spot predators on the hunt and witness the Serengeti as it comes to life. After a thrilling early morning safari, return to camp for breakfast before continuing with a full-day game drive through different regions of the Serengeti.

The endless savannah, dotted with rocky outcrops (kopjes), rivers, and acacia woodlands, provides an ideal habitat for a wide variety of wildlife. Watch as herds of zebras and wildebeest graze, observe elephants moving in family groups, and marvel at the elegant movements of cheetahs and leopards.

After lunch, begin your journey towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying an en-route game drive as you exit the Serengeti. Arrive at Simba Campsite, perched on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll enjoy dinner with spectacular views of the crater below.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into Ngorongoro Crater, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World, for a full-day game drive. Covering over 260 sq. km, this natural caldera is home to some of the densest wildlife populations in Africa.

Ngorongoro offers a unique opportunity to see the Big Five in one day, buffalo, elephant, rhino, lion, and leopard, along with hippos, flamingos, hyenas, jackals, and thousands of wildebeest and zebras. The crater’s diverse ecosystem, featuring grasslands, acacia forests, and soda lakes, creates a haven for wildlife year-round.

After lunch by the hippo pool, ascend from the crater and begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
